Solaris already leverages the underlying hardware capabilities you're
talking about to a large degree when doing things like scheduling,
memory allocation, etc.

However, there are improvements that could be made to the pools
infrastruture in this area.  There is an open RFE on this

        4959436 *poold* requires a mechanism to differentiate physical
                         and virtual CPUs
