Just when you think the big companies have all the
toys (enterprise servers), you find companies like
this making 16-cpu servers:

also the IBM x455

Also the NEC TX-7 (32-cpu server).

So the hardware is more commonplace than most people
suggested and I'd think AMD64 mid-range servers (16-32
cpu) in this category are not far behind.

Either way, I'd think Solaris users will be testing
out various scenarios to meet their needs.
