I STRONGLY agree with that. The dictate of the MUST-WRAP-AT-80-CHARACTERS has damaged lots of code and makes even simple string literals quite difficult to read quickly. > My code tried to live in 80 columns as long as the readability > is not worse than with longer lines. You can extend |printf()| to string literals in general - and complex calculations could be much easier formatted when there would be little bit more space (usually within less than 10-12 chars) allowed.
