Part of what Apple did today was update the firmware on the Intel
based Macs. Among other things this allows booting the windows
install media. After successfully installing XP Pro on my Intel
based Mac Mini I thought I would see what other media could be
booted. The Fedora Core 5 install DVD booted and the installer
started. THe install process did not like the format of the disk so
I am not sure about dual booting Mac OS X and FC5. I also tried the
B36 DVD. It started loading stage 2 and then just hung.
Maybe what Apple did today will make running Solaris 10 on the Core
Duos a little easier.

Well, it's difficult enough that it hasn't been done yet.
It is being worked; they're getting closer.
