Since the XView toolkit has now been EOL'd and the last public release of the XView source code is considerably behind the release supplied with Solaris 8 - does Sun have any plans to release the code into the Open Source community ? I know a lot of people think that XView is old-fashioned, but it is still one of the easiest X toolkits to program and it would be a shame for all the bug fixes that Sun made to the code since 3.2 to be lost in the mists of time. Why not make it live on in the glory of open source ? It also would be great to have access to the source code for all the other apps which never got released the first time around such as 'filemgr' :-)
