This is clearly proof of you not being able to parse the headers if you think that all discussion has proved it is unnecessary.

I think you should try and compile the OpenSolaris Weekly News sometime and see how you get on. It's a fricken pain in the ass trying to sort through the various lists and pick up the interesting topics - and trust me, I already filter into different mail boxes per list.

Is there any precedent for turning prefixes off for certain projects or communities, according to the general consensus of the list members? I'll almost certainly preserve status-quo on desktop-discuss, but given that I admin it, it's tempting to be a complete dick and test it out and see how people like it.
