In Solaris the admin can choose between "Xorg" and "Xsun" as server.
What are the pros and cons of the two servers?
Xorg is faster, has support for many new extensions/features not
present in Xsun (Xrandr - dynamic screen resize, Xv - video playback
acceleration, Composite, etc.) Xorg is required to use the nvidia
accelerated drivers or OpenGL on x86 platforms.
Xsun is in the process of being replaced by Xorg and won't stay around
forever. For now, it's required for SPARC graphics and Sun Ray devices,
but those are being ported to Xorg in future releases.
How many (percentage) Solaris (10) installations are approx.
run with Xorg and how many with Xun?
I wish I knew - I've never seen any statistics.
