Interesting to see that Google are now providing Picasa for Linux by
bundling a custom version of their Windows port with WINE.
I wonder how long before someone gets this running under Solaris? And
whether it provides a way forward for some of these apps?

MSIE isn't really alive even on MacOS nowadays, last time I checked.
And the chances of getting Photoshop are pretty much nil as well,
given that (a) it's not on Linux either, and (b) there's no motivation
for this from Adobe, unless they expect to actually sell a significant
number of copies on Solaris.
So far they've trained all existing Photoshop users to get a Mac or PC
platform, which (from Adobe's point of view) means Adobe still gets
the same number of sales without needing to support another OS.
