Most of what I'm looking at is more in the short-term, working with what we've got now, and progressing to working with new features
as they come. Visual Panels is a little longer-term (although not that long) but also is more involved, in that it's part of the
changing architecture towards better SMF integration.
The tools I would be considering would be more along the lines of an
intermediate step towards the final Visual Panels solution.
Part of the Visual Panels is to also provide a Control Panel feature - which picks up system admin tools, including any GNOME tools
that flag themselves as such (in the .desktop files that provide the launching mechanism in GNOME) - and so this would be a way of
the two being integrated, and over time, some parts of this project would migrate to the Visual Panels equivalent (e.g. Services).
