that looks like its already using DMA for the CD.  am i correct assuming this?

So it looks like you may be using DMA for your CD. I also found this link to a chart for the different DMA modes.

Also, if I type "/usr/sbin/eeprom" at the prompt:

ata-dma-enabled=1
atapi-cd-dma-enabled=1

Do you also get "=1"
