I felt a direct argument with Danese would have been unproductive at
that event as many Debian developers are predisposed to believe the
things Danese said so the standard of proof I would have needed to
achieve was much higher than hers. And I genuinely believe the
biggest barrier to migration between the OpenSolaris and Linux
kernels is to do with architecture, not licensing. So yes, this was
exactly the point. One can always come up with better things to say
in hindsight, of course.
