Sun made a decision when it started open sourcing Solaris to pass through third-party licenses as-is. For binaries, we include information about third-party licenses in the THIRDPARTYLICENSE file that accompanies the OpenSolaris Binary License. For example, this file can be found in the BFU tarball binary and in the ON closed binaries tarball, along with the text file that contains the OBL and the README file that lists the contents of the tarball.
