Hi, Just to chip in with additional info.
I'm experiencing exactly the same problems with a DL385, 4GB RAM, 2x280CPU, 6i controller, running Solaris 10 06/06 with the 14/08 patch cluster. First, I had the hang at boot time which I've worked around with by adding set pci_autoconfig:pci_boot_debug=1 to /etc/system and putting grub into text mode (see http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-1-6451513-1) Second, the system also hangs after a few hours - total lockup no messages except lastlog does have an entry reporting the system is down when it locks. e.g. system booted at 22:07, locked up at 01:02 reboot system down Tue Aug 22 01:02 : reboot system boot Mon Aug 21 22:07 I added set snooping = 1 to /etc/system rebooted (which requires a power cycle since the system hangs with a shutdown -i 6 etc. :-( ) but the system still locks up after a few hours with no messages, no panic messages on the console although I'm not entirely sure where I should look.
