I am not at all surprised that the OBP on a Sun Ultra 2 will not be able to deal with disks with EFI labels. Could be worse though, this could be my Sparc 20. I thought that there were some efforts to look at GRUB ( GRUB2 ? ) booting on UltraSparc also, just like on AMD64/x86 but I have not seen anything happening there. Yet. Oh well ... no problem.
