You ever try to restore a Lotus Domino server on Solaris 10 from a backup?

The kernel modules are a real pain and they don't "just work" despite just
working on Solaris 7 and Solaris 8.  Thankfully Domino 6.x is better than 5
in this regard but does not exist for Solaris x86 at all.  Looks like IBM
would rather watch Domino on Linux and Solaris x86 users can go rot.

In any case, the real issue is this "DDI/DDK compliant" part.
How many vendors really care?  How many are so accustommed to the Linux
world now that they create things for specific kernel versions and then lock
you down?

Regardless, there are things that don't "just work".
