I also need to point out that, on this machine, SX44 actually runs more 
trouble-free than SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 and Ubuntu 6.06.  (For those 
who are not familiar with Linux, these are the two best Linux desktops.)

What is particularly threatening is, I don't think the version of Solaris is 
anywhere near being optimized for desktops, and yet it performs so admirably.  
Once more efforts are mobilized, it will really be awesome.

At the present, there are quite a few utility programs that are available in 
Linux but not in Solaris.  Since all of these tools are open-sourced, it will 
be only a matter of time (& will) before they are ported.  If enough voices can 
be raised, we should also expect Adobe to make Acroread available for Solaris 
users.  Adobe is a very smart company.

BTW, I would really like to hear stories/blogs about running Linux/WinXP under 
Qemu.
