I'm new to Solaris but I was able to setup Trusted Extensions on a test machine. The
problem I'm seeing is when I login to the system as any account other than root I cannot
open any applications or even a terminal. I get the message "Action failed.
Reconnect to Solaris Zone?". Does anyone know why this might be happening?
The reason behind the message generally implies that the zone for the
labeled zone is not set up. (you can tell
by doing zoneadm list -v, if you only see global zone, then that is the
problem).
If you want to run application at the different labels which is a main
functionalities for TX, you need to set
up the zones for the sample labels provided by TX, examples are public,
internal, needtoknow or restricted.
Also there are some setting up one can do for the user in the
/etc/user_attr file, but the primary tool is to set
up user's account using smc.
If the user is set up by using useradd or other means, it will have
default label range of public to needtoknow.
I am not sure at what stage of release of the documentation onTX, they
are essential for setting up usable TX system.
