That doesn't look to me like trouble with makebfu.  It looks like a
problem with junk being delivered into the proto area.

Those files under .svn/ don't belong there, do they?  This is under
$ROOT, not $SRC, and nothing under $ROOT should be under source code
control.

I'd vote for the former.  The latter doesn't make sense to me, because
excluding them from cpiotranslate inspection means that (A) though
they're not packaged, they belong there as a normal part of the build
process and (B) it's fine to copy private parts of the source code
control system around within a workspace.

But, if you insist, you can exclude them in the usual way.  See
$SRC/pkgdefs/etc/exception_list_{i386,sparc}.
