Hi,
I've got some new hardware in, and I'd really like to be running 6/06 on
it, but I'm having terrible problems with lockups. They seem to happen
anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours after bootup, regardless of
workload, even sitting idle. The same behavior was observed running
6/06 as well as nv49. When the lockup occurs, nothing works, not even
the keyboard, requiring a hard power-cycle.
I suspect ACPI, but the usual tricks to disable it and various BIOS
fiddling have not resolved the issue. I've used acpi_user_options 0x2
and 0x8, and I'm trying 0x4 currently, but so far none have had any effect.
I've also tried disabling legacy USB support, and toggling "ACPI-aware
OS" on and off. Again, no effect.
I'm looking for ideas, further recommendations, anything to keep me from
taking a hammer to these things... :)
