If S10 1/06 works, S10 6/06 with acpi-user-options=0x8 is equivalent.
S10 6/06 *does* put the system in "ACPI mode" by default, a change from
S10 1/06, but you've already tried acpi-user-options=0x8.

I believe Jean-François Ndi is correct in suggesting trying the
workaround for 6391605:

  Add the following line to /etc/system and reboot:

  set cpu\.AuthenticAMD\.15:ao_scrub_rate_dram = 0

  This disables scrubbing of DRAM, but leaves scrubbing of
  data cache and L2 cache enabled.
