The way Solaris patches work is that they only apply to a specific package
version, so we'd have to have a patch bundle for Nevada build 1, another one
for Nevada build 2, and so on - we're on build 50 now, so making every change
require building 50 different patch versions if we wanted to allow people on
any build to be able to patch - it's just too much of a cost and would cripple
development.
Our current processes were designed for people with high enough bandwidth and
a high level of dedication to be able to upgrade by getting the entire image -
we should re-examine that and see if we can fix that somehow. (Downloading
individual packages Linux-style probably won't help either since we don't have
good enough dependency information to know which packages must be upgraded in
sync, just which must have some version (any version) installed.)
