How is the new destination disk partitioned?  Did you 
include a small s8 (Tag = boot) and s9 (Tag = alternates)
slice?

The new root slice is tagged as a "root" filesystem?

Was /boot a separate PCFS filesystem, or was it part of 
the UFS root filesystem?
