I totally understand. The problem is that open sourcing existing proprietary code requires work, specifically legal work. Given our priorities and resources, it's difficult to justify spending time and money on old code, but I'll ask......

Agreed, although in some instances, this community-driven approach is
somewhat hampered by the lack of open source code for those older
devices (cg6 being about the only exception).

I guess the drivers could be reverse engineered, but the actual source
code would be a much better starting point!
