No rumour at all. The entire stack is being licensed under the GPLv2, with some
classpath exceptions. The major reason is getting to an OSI community approved
license that everyone has already agreed to [see gcj/classpath]. It's the
license with the best disincentive to fork and opens up new communities and
opportunities across the world.

Doesn't say anything about CDDL - Glassfish is still dual licensed under the
CDDL and seemingly it's working for them just fine.

I'm absolutely sure Simon/others can add more to the rationale, and well, don't
forget to watch the video casts at 9am PST.
