If you add this please consider two three options here: 1. Conversion to the system's default locale (this should be the default) 2. Conversion to UTF-8 3. Conversion to a defined encoding (encoding=<encodingidetifer>) IMO all three options are needed to cover the various *.gov.* requirements or "preferences" (e.g. GB18030 support or things like ja_JP.PCK&co.). > - performance is abysmal BTW: It may be nice to have an option to cache media in a special "cachefile" which gets flushed at "sync" or unmount time (which may be usefull or USB sticks and floppy media). ---- Bye, Roland P.S.: I forgot the "+1" for this project... -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) [EMAIL PROTECTED] \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 7950090 (;O/ \/ \O;) _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
