Karen used to copy/paste the posts from the announcements group to the
main page. I filled in for her once when she went on vacation. But I
guess no one has been designated to take over.

I've change the "Announcements" section on the front page to
automatically pull from the RSS feed for the opensolaris-announce list,
so hopefully we've removed the manual step from this process now.
It should just automatically update as postings to the
opensolaris-announce list happen.
