I, for my part, will continue to use the old fat 1.7 Suite (plus a selfbuilt SeaMonkey on another box). Yes, I also have disabled the Flash plugin. It therefore never crashes now, and nothing gets lost. BTW, when writing e-mails I would generally recommend anyone to use the File->SaveAs functionality every 5 minutes (whatever e-mail client you use), if one is writing a long and important message. I had used Firefox/Thunderbird for two months (I did try out many of its themes and a few plugins), but eventually went back. One advantage that I see, is: For example if I have a many many windows (each with many many tabs) open (no matter which wm I use, maybe FVWM2 or TWM on that given day) I like it very much, that I just have to click on whatever symbol in the lower left corner in order to choose one of the five FULLY INTEGRATED applications, especially THE main Inbox window or THE Chatzilla window. Just my personal preferences. I do not expect SUNW to go that path, as I seem to belong to a minority in that aspect. But I am happy to know, SeaMonkey is continuing to maintain the classic Suite. -M _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
