I'm not on the LDoms team, but I think you haven't heard too much about it because the team is still working really hard to get LDoms 1.0 ready to go. I expect that once all the pieces are ready and released, you'll see a big announcement promoting the new features. Along with lots of documentation. Maybe after the final pieces have been released in some form, we'll get a project on opensolaris.org. Technically, any opensolaris.org member could start the project.
