The specification includes a description of the hardware/software interface between system software and the host controller hardware. At the moment, the first phase of ahci driver has been putback into nevada build 56, and it supports INTEL ICH6 and VIA VT8251 controller. Currently, Solaris ahci driver conforms to AHCI 1.0 specification and supports PIO and DMA protocols, Hot Plug, cfgadm, 64-bit addressing, Intel ICH6 and VIA vt8251 chipsets. Goal ---- The project is planning to support the following features in the future.
