Hi,

I'm giving open solaris a try (installed in vmware), but I'm running into some
difficulties.

1. the command line isn't bash, so I'm kinda stuck about that. can it be
switched to bash? or is the solaris command line better than bash...
2. I've heard zfs is supposed to be great and was hoping to use it, but when I
installed solaris it automatically installs ufs. How can I get the system to
install zfs?
3. does anyone know if solaris will work with the mcp51 nvidia chipset and
video card? the alsa drivers for linux currently need to be patched to get
sound working right. (I have an hp pavilion dv2000 series laptop)
4. the screen resolution seems to be stuck at 2304x1728. I have tried changing
it to 1024x768 but it doesn't work... if I install solaris normally (not in a
virtual machine), will the screen resolution be fixed?
5. is there a command line equivelants webpage or pdf for people coming from
linux to solaris?
