+1 for this project proposal.

Pavan - I think this project will open more "doors"[0] for OpenSolaris -
especially to someone running "another" OS who would like to add
OpenSolaris (or an OpenSolaris derived distribution) to his/her hard disk
without disrupting the "other" installed Operating System(s).

The original proposal looks good to me.  When that's integrated we can
look at other opportunities to integrate the code more fully into ON.
