Why (I still have the chance to get an older Apple G3-based IMac... question is whether it makes sense to buy it...) ? ---- Bye, Roland ---------------------------------- Roland, We could support PowerPC G3 users as a courtesy service, yet most of the team have direct access to the Genesi Pegasos II (PowerPC G4-based, which was deemed our baseline target for the initial project) and the EFIKA 5200B-based hardware. Mostly, we provide primary support for Y2000 and higher built PowerPC G4/G5 and POWER-based computers from the commercial OEMs/IHVs. We've reviewed the low-cost "modern" PPC-based hardware at the time we started the project and hardware supported by the sponsors of the project. You may want to get a PowerPC G4-based machine (at the minimum) to get the most support at this time.
