... okay, so the subject is probably broad and vague.
But a bunch of people have complained about participation, specifically
about how much *process* is involved in putting back, and how hard it is
for external developers to go through the sponsor process.
[begin shameless plug for my project]
I encourage you to look at the SCM Migration project[1] we're working on.
1. It's being openly developed (heck, I think Rich has done more to it
than I have)
2. It's a huge (nay, necessary) step in moving the gate to be external,
which will make the process better (though some elements of the sponsor
process will still be around until we solve the larger Bugster & RTI
problems)
3. It's fairly easy to help out.... and you'll be doing a huge service
to the OpenSolaris community.
4. We could use help, both technical and non-technical (we could use
help in writing up training documents, migration/transition, etc.)
