So why can't you download Solaris Express Community Edition; that's
pretty much the Sun assembled "based on OpenSolaris" distribution.

We don't make distinction along those lines: we have the "core OS"
(OS + Networking) and then whatever is sitting on that foundation:
X, GNOME, etc; an increasing number of components available.
