Juergen Keil is a genius. I remember working with him on the ATAPI DMA issue back in the days of Solaris 9, and him giving me a commented portion of a reverse-engineered ATA driver. I used this commented text to locate and patch the ATA driver in mdb and after that, DMA worked. Simply an outstanding guy with very deep knowledge of the Solaris kernel. Too bad there aren't more people like him. I wouldn't lose any sleep over Juergen doing putbacks to the OpenSolaris source code; that guy knows what is going on! Isn't he the outside OpenSolaris contributor with most kernel fixes to date?
