Depends what you mean by "hit".

Solaris will short-circuit connections, so they shouldn't go out on the
wire.

If that isn't enough, you could always use the loopback device
rather than a physical device. I've done this in the past to isolate
applications. It worked, although as I recall I had to set up explicit
routes in the global zone to allow it to communicate with the zones.

btw. zones-discuss may be a better place to ask questions specifically
related to zones.
