A new candidate for the OGB popped up out of the woodwork today, taking the community by storm! Stephen Lau's fledgling campaign ups the ante; his Political Action Committee started things off earlier in this season with a bang - a fancy full color video production showcasing Stephen's work with the Community. Today, Lau formally submitted his nomination papers and garnered an immediate endorsement by himself, also a well known Community Core Member. "Fortunately, I am a core contributor", said Stephen, "so I second my nomination. In his prepared nomination statement, Stephen gave us some insight into why he is qualified for the job. "I'm paid by Sun", Lau said, "to make OpenSolaris not suck". In related news, candidate Glynn Foster quickly stepped up and congradulated Stephen on his decision to enter the race. "I think he'd be an absolutely *awesome* member to have on the OGB", said Foster. Stephen is the third person to put their hat into the ring for the OGB board elections coming up later this Spring. He joins Garrett D'Amore and Glynn Foster in the race for several open seats on the board. Can the rest of the field catch up? Will the other nominees take Stephen's strong media push lying down? Will this media circus cause other OpenSolaris contributers to jump into the race? Will Lau be able to keep up his high profile campaign? What does Isis[1] think of all this? Stay tuned to the continuing story of "The Daze of Our Lives", here on OpenSolaris TV News .... -John :-) [1] http://grommit.com/gallery/v/stephen/50mm_beagle_portraits/DSC_0260.JPG.html _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
