Hi, I am working on solaris 10 and my first question is that when I open a udp socket in family AF_INET6, I can see two entries for that port in "netstat -an" one in UDP IPv4 section and another on UDP IPv6 section while on AIX I see only one entry. Is it that solaris opens two sockets ???........also when I set the option IPv6_V6ONLY I see the entry only in IPv6 section but it doesn't seem to accept any packet and the packets are getting dropped.
I don't have an IPv6 environment and I am testing it by autoconfiguring IPv6 addresses. My both example client and server run on the same machine. Are they getting dropped because this packet is encapsulated in an IPv4 packet on network ? Thanks for any suggestions.
