Actually no, though that's what I thought at first. The engineer
who enabled LDAP support added -ltls to LIBS before calling
configure, so it was deliberately asked for. That was just
removed as it was deemed not necessary after all (6522265,
which I just noticed wasn't listed in the putback though it
was indeed fixed). Apparently some older samba needed it
but not anymore.

But indeed that's a risk of using autoconf.
