please note:
Winchester will be better than winbind because there are 2 main features which
I am not able to reach with the winbind:
- mapping function mapping SIDs to UIDs by the mutually exclusive way
- one winchester running server can share its SIDs <-> UIDs assignments cross
the network with the other CIFS servers
...so the linux is still oriented to the small scale systems and for instance
sharing of the one storage by two (or more) samba servers in ADS domain is
impossible caused by the different SID<->UID mappings on the different winbind
instances (clustering). Does anybody know the solution?
...but the winchester is nor ready to use yet so currently the winbind is
perfect solution on the single (CIFS server) machine I think.
