Upgraded my SunBlade 1500 at home to SXCE build 59 yesterday,
and I've been having some strange network behaviour. This is
on a home network using dhcp behind a broadband router.

On one boot I ended up with a hosts file like so:

::1     localhost       loghost
127.0.0.1 localhost loghost
       enterprise # Added by DHCP

Note that no address has been put in. Looking at ifconfig -a
I had an address, and this didn't seem to cause any
further problems, although gnome complained about the fact
that the hostname didn't resolve.

Although I had an address, I couldn't access anything. I looked
at netstat -r and that was fine; /etc/resolv.conf was fine; nslookup
worked but getent didn't. I looked at nsswitch.conf and it was just
files - no dns had been added.

OK, reboot. It worked a little better this time - it looked like
all the files had been set up correctly this time. Still couldn't
access anything.

This time stopping and starting nscd looks like it's cleared it,
so I'm back connected properly.

The question is - is this just me or is this a more general problem?
