BTW my impromptu statement "Some Java developers have been telling me that they 
could distinguish b/t a Java app and a native app in the GNOME environment" 
should have been --Some Java developers have been telling me that they could 
NOT distinguish b/t a Java app and a native app in the GNOME environment --.
