Installl software from blastwave.org. There are a lot of software, you also
find on linux. The installation instructions are pretty straight forward.
After you did that, you can type f.e. "pkg-get -i php" to install the php
interpreter including all dependancies. All packages are installed to /opt/csw
so they do not collide with the software from the original solaris. As a result
it is possible that you have packages twice on your system. If you install a
gnome application f.e., blastwave installs the gtk packages again, but they
don't harm the original gtk packages
