i think it has something to do with the move to modular Xorg, but i've been trying to run mplayer on both snv_59 (clean install from sxde DVD) and opensolaris_b60 (bfu'd from 59). that package always worked fine on 57. i can start gmplayer and it works until i try and play a movie-- i can go into the menu's, set preferences, etc, but as soon as i say play a file it crashes.
