Yes.
Will Xsun remain for sparc?
Only for a while - the announcement of it's end of life should be in the
next Solaris 10 update release notes. SPARC graphics & Sun Ray are working
to port their drivers so Xsun won't be needed any more.
Yes I understand I have a far better chance of timely Xorg support for
arbitrary commodity hardware. I've read some negative press about the
Xorg server as compared to Xsun for Intel PC platforms, but then the
author[s] might well have an ax to grind. For all I know they might
supply Xsun :).
The suppliers of Xsun (including me) generally agree we want to replace
it with Xorg.
