need to have an alternative method for people who can't see the image,
and unfortunately, many of those alternatives are automatable.
(Of course, even if it's not automatable, some spammers see enough value
to even pay people to manually spam - witness wiki spam like that which
hits genunix's OpenSolaris wiki from time to time.)
