I found that nv11b61 installgrub and fdisk overwite the 0x1b8 to 0x1bb "Optional Disk signature" in the MBR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_boot_record). This causes windows booting to fail. My work around was to use windows cd to repair the MBR and then use Knoppix 5.1.1 fdisk to change the active partition from windows to solaris. Then the solaris grub chainloader was able to start windows as well as solaris.
