Yes , I understand that, as the only other real contender is a ATI Radeon driver if it
was available . Cant really see the demand for a matrox driver or any of the others
that has almost vanished from the market by now.
Actually, we've recently found that Matrox has a second life in
the embedded remote KVM/graphical console devices in various
x86 server boxes. We've had to apply updates recently to the
Xorg matrox driver to make some of those work on Solaris.
We ship a dozen or two different Xorg user-space driver modules
for x86 now.
