Ian, We are all trying to figure out what exactly you had in mind when you said:

"As we make Solaris more familiar to Linux users, we don't (want to) lose what makes it more compelling and competitive," I am prone to think that you are referring to building a Linux house, with Solaris plumbing, a Solaris frame, and a Solaris foundation. To the person living in the house, they are living in a Linux house, but everything just seems to work better and faster. Could you share with the development community, what you have in mind?
