I actually agree with you. The unaltered package name should be one column. This type of tool is not one for inexperienced users to use, and the real package name combined with text search is exactly what is needed there.

I see the point, but as for now I should focus on better support for
getting information about packages using Solaris pkg, spec-files and
blastwave.
Peter Tribble did a great job with the solview application and I see the
opportunity to get best of both apps, that is why with his help we can
create fantastic one :-)
I would like to start work on the stable API for underlying packaging
systems, so we will be able to use our work in both applications, what
do you think about it?
I will post soon information about planned work for JPack, and this
week-end I will look closer on the solview.
